As Miranda Lambert’s Livin’ Like Hippies Tour makes its way across the country, the country music superstar is also giving back while she’s on the road. Not only is she setting up adoption sites for local pet organizations, her MuttNation Foundation also recently surprised more than 50 carefully-vetted animal shelters across the country with grants ranging from $3000-$5000. The support is given to help the shelters continue their outstanding work with rescue animals, Miranda’s primary passion outside of making music. “I am amazed and humbled by the great work these shelters do, and so honored to be able to support their critical efforts on behalf of rescue animals,” said Miranda.
So, it’s not surprise that when Miranda made a stop in Lexington, Kentucky and invited the Lexington Humane Society to the show that she also carried a puppy around in a Baby Bjorn beforehand. As the kids like to say– MOOD.
