It’s safe to say that the only thing that Miranda Lambert loves as much as her family and country music is animals, especially dogs, so it’s no surprise that she’s kicking off CMA Music Festival in four-legged fashion.
In honor of her MuttNation Foundation’s 10th Anniversary, Miranda and Tractor Supply Company will lead a pup parade and adoption drive on Thursday, June 6 from 8:30am. to 10:30am. The mutt march begins at Nissan Stadium and will end at the Music City Walk of Fame Park for a live broadcast on Sirius XM’s The Highway. There will also be activities and refreshments for both the fur babies and their two-legged friends.
“We’re hoping that 1,000 or more people, some with their furry friends, will join us walking in support of shelter pet adoption,” Miranda said of the event.
In addition to the parade, Miranda and TSC are partnering with Nashville’s Humane Society to host dozens of adoptable doggies at the MuttNation booth in the CMA Fest’s Fan Fair X. Miranda’s mom, Bev, will be on-site to play Tinder to the potential people/pupper relationships and will help facilitate the perfect matches.
“Country music lovers and dog lovers, they go hand- in-hand,” Miranda adds.
At CMA Fest in 2018, the MuttNation booth was responsible for pairing up 55 shelter dogs and their new people, and this year promises to be equally as successful.
