When celebrities appear on the British talk show, “The Graham Norton Show,” you know you’ll get some good insight into their lives. Nicole Kidman was no exception.
When the Hollywood actress and wife of Keith Urban sat down to chat with Graham, she revealed some interesting facts. First fact was that she’s really into reptiles and insects. The “Big Little Lies” star even proved it by capturing and very large tarantula in her backyard.
Next the Oscar winner revealed a little information about her new movie “Destroyer,” where she plays an LAPD detective, who was undercover in a cult gang.
“She’s gone undercover to work and try to discover what’s going on in this cult really. And then you meet her seventeen years later and it’s the ramifications of the choices that she made and the things she did,” Nicole said. “It’s a really tough gritty film, which is something I’ve never done and I’m always looking for new territory to explore. It was with a female director Karyn Kusama and I’m on a crusade to support female directors right now.”
The actress went on to describe how taking on the role in this film had an affect on her marriage to Keith.
“My husband was like, ‘when does this end?’ As an actor you take on things and some of them you can shed and walk away from easily and others, in particularly for this, I had to live it. I didn’t want to feel like I was putting on a performance,” Nicole revealed. “I was a bit of nightmare. I’m through it now. I’m back to me.”
