Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Parker Redmond has music in his blood. Influenced by his dad’s love of country music and his mom’s passion for Elvis, the Tennessee native developed his own sound that can be heard in is debut single, “The Date.”
One Country has the exclusive premiere of Parker’s debut video, directed by Rene’ Vance.
“We actually filmed the music video for “The Date” the day after the EP release, Parker tells One Country. “Rene’ Vance, who directed the video, did an amazing job securing actors and locations for the shoot and it was cool to have some of my friends appear in the video as well.”
“The Date” has Parker singing in a first person narrative about a guy going on a big date, hoping it will lead to something long term.
“The Date” almost didn’t make the EP,” Parker reveals. “It wasn’t until after some other artists expressed interest in it that I thought maybe I should record it myself. Good thing I did because it’s been the most popular song on the EP and the track Apple Music selected for feature in their Cool Country Playlist.”
Written by Parker Redmond and John Griffin, “The Date” can be found on Parker’s self-titled EP, released in May,
