Fans of Patsy Cline have a reason to celebrate. Her larger than life personality and unmatched talent is coming back to the stage, thanks to technology. Country music lost one of its finest half a century ago, but next year Cline will return to perform her hit songs live, in hologram form. This is not the first time we’ve seen holograms make the impossible, possible. Artists from other music genres have been revived via hologram, including Elvis Presley, Ray Charles and Tupac.
The company behind the Cline-ogram, Hologram USA, will be the first to ever recreate a country music legend via hologram.
According to the company’s website, the Cline-ogram will star in a full-concert performance in 2016 that will include commentary, audience interaction and appearances by present day country music stars. It will be the longest performance ever given via hologram.
You may have gotten a sneak peek of Hologram USA’s innovative technology if you watched the hilarious Jimmy Kimmel and Kacey Musgraves interview at the CMA awards.
Although Cline was only 30-years-old when she died, her legacy is immense, as she was the first female solo artist inducted into the Country music Hall of Fame.
