Ryan Hurd released the lyric video for his current single “Diamonds or Twine” and it’s an intimate look at his life with fellow singer/songwriter Maren Morris.

The Michigan native wrote the song for Maren, whom he married on March 24, so it only stands to reason she would be the focus of the new video. As the romantic lyrics play out, footage of Ryan and Maren at different times in their relationship fill the screen. We see the couple holding hands backstage, riding in a boat on the lake and kissing multiple times throughout. The pièce de résistance is the final footage from their wedding day.

After writing the song last year, Ryan played it when he proposed to Maren in the romantic moment.

“Doesn’t matter if it’s diamonds or twine / I’ll be wrapped around your finger / Girl, you got me ’til we run out of time / Rich or poor, rain or shine / The wind’s gonna blow wherever it goes / And the road is gonna wind / Doesn’t matter if it’s diamonds or twine / Forevermore, I’ll be yours and you’ll be mine,” he sings in the chorus.

Turns out, after Maren asked for a love song in her latest hit “I Could Use a Love Song,” she got it.

The couple is currently honeymooning in Bora Bora, but will get back to work once they hit the States. Maren will finish up her Renegade Revival Tour before heading back out on the Flicker World Tour with Niall Horan. She has a lot to be happy about her single, “The Middle”—a collaboration with Zedd and Grey—is #1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart this week.

Ryan will be focusing on promoting the song he wrote for his new bride.
