Way back in 2007, before Luke Bryan was a household name, he was just a singer-songwriter trying to make it big and playing shows at his old fraternity house and other fraternity houses.
Which is how Sam Hunt discovered Luke’s music.
Luke shot the video for his debut single, “All My Friends Say” at Van Hunt’s frat house. Sam came home one weekend and the rest is history, “I discovered Luke’s music several years ago when I was in college. I came home one weekend and walked in the house, and everybody was gathered around the TV. My mom said, ‘Hey, come over here, come over here! Your brother’s in a country music video.’ And it was an artist named Luke Bryan. He had a song called ‘All My Friends Say,’ and they recorded this video at my brother’s fraternity house. We were all wound up and excited, because we got to see 2.5 seconds of the back of my brother’s head in this Luke Bryan video. So, needless to say myself and all the folks back home are excited about this tour.” (Sam, of course, is talking about the What Makes You Country Tour.)
What a small world.
But, now, we need to ask Luke about the first time he heard one of Sam’s songs.
