When Scotty McCreery announced the upcoming release of his new album, Seasons Change, he implored his fans to listen to the album and get to know a lot more about the 24-year-old. “If you want to know who I am and where I’m at right now, listen to this album,” he told One Country.

One thing you need to know about Scotty is that the “American Idol” winner got engaged to the love of his life, Gabi Dugal, this past September.

Scotty has released the song “Wherever You Are” about his relationship with Gabi, and is sharing it with the world. The uptempo fun-loving love song is the second track from his upcoming fourth studio album and the follow-up to his Top 20 hit, “Five More Minutes.”

“This is a song I wrote for Gabi,” Scotty says. “I’m on the road 150-200 days a year. Sometimes wherever I’m at, wherever you are, I just want to go and spend some quality time with her. I wrote the song definitely with her in mind.”

“Wherever You Are,” co-written by Scotty along with Frank Rogers and Dan Isbell, tells the story of a guy being apart from his fiancée/girlfriend/spouse and making every effort to be with her wherever she may be.

“Wherever you are wherever it is / Baby it ain’t too far / Just give me a call, drop me a pin / Enough of this damn being apart
I’ll fill up a tank or buy me a ticket / Whatever it takes you know I’m with it / It won’t be long till I’m there by your side / Wherever you are wherever you are tonight
,” Scotty sings in the chorus.

Scotty’s bass vocals, romantic lyrics and laid-back easy feel are sure to catapult “Wherever You Are” to your favorite playlist this summer. All you have to do is roll down the windows, turn up the volume and let Scotty take you to wherever it is you need to go.

Seasons Change, Scotty’s first new album in five years, is due to drop March 16. You can pre-order Seasons Change now and get “Five More Minutes” & “Wherever You Are” instantly.
