Shania Twain has many reasons to be thankful. One of those reasons is that her brand new album, Now, has reached the top of the Billboard 200 Albums chart, giving Twain the top selling album in the country in all genres.
Now, Twain’s first album in 15 years since 2002’s UP!, sold 137,000 units in it’s first week beating out Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Greatest Hits, Demi Lovato’s Tell Me You Love Me and Miley Cyrus’ Younger Now.
Now is only the second country album to hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart this year, behind Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes. Twain is the first female country artist to hit the Billboard 200 chart in three years, since Miranda Lambert topped the chart in 2014 with Platinum.
“I am celebrating, I am so excited. I have a No. 1 album and it’s all because of you guys,” Twain said in her video.
The singer is currently working on her new tour to put a great show on for her fans.
We’re feeling pretty happy too!
