Sugarland has officially announced the release of their brand new upcoming single, “Still The Same.” The new tune will be hitting all digital platforms on December 21.
“We are thrilled for fans to hear our new music, especially this new single,” said Jennifer. “The title of the song is so meaningful to us as we want fans to know, we are still the same, we are still the same Sugarland they’ve known and loved”.
Kristian Bush added, “We want to finish where we left off. We always knew were going to make music again, so this has been the best of both worlds. We were able to take time to feed our personal passions, and we’re excited to come back together to create music as a band again.”
After taking a hiatus in 2012 when Jennifer gave birth to her son Magnus; Kristian signed with Streamsound Records as a solo artist and released his solo album Southern Gravity while Jennifer went on to release two solo projects That Girl and Playing with Fire, featuring singles “Unlove You” and “Hey Heartbreak.”
While rumors circulated that the duo was done, those were quashed when at the CMA Awards in November, the duo started tongues wagging with the tease of Sugarland’s return. “Still the Same,” is a taste of what’s to come from the award-winning duo as they are currently back in the studio working on their new album and mapping out tour dates for 2018.
You can catch Sugarland during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018 from New York City’s Times Square on December 31.
