Sugarland’s Video For “Babe” Features a Redheaded Taylor Swift and It Looks Fabulous

In the world of music, there are good videos and there are great videos. Country music duo Sugarland is gearing up to release one of those great videos for their song “Babe,” which looks like it could be a contender for Video of the Year.

The duo took to Instagram to share a short clip, teasing the upcoming video, which is due out Saturday, June 9—and we’re hooked. The video, which looks to be set in the 60s, features none other than pop star Taylor Swift as the other woman and actor Brandon Routh, star of “Superman Returns,” as the cheating husband. Jennifer looks to embrace her role as the scorned wife.

“SATURDAY. #BABE featuring @jennifernettles@kristianbush@taylorswift, and @brandonjrouth,” they wrote.

If you recall, “Babe,” featured on Sugarland’s upcoming album, Bigger, available today, is the one song on the album they duo didn’t have hand in writing. The stand out tune was penned by Taylor and given to the duo when she heard they were reuniting, after a 5-year hiatus. So it stands to reason that the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer star in the video. Right?

And look closely and you’ll see Kristian Bush lurking throughout the video, clad in a suit and fedora complete with beard and hat. We can’t help but wonder what he’s up to.
