The Judds Exhibit to Open at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

-

The Judds are the latest country act to receive an exhibit at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Titled “The Judds: Dream Chasers,” country fans can visit the location beginning on Aug. 10 to learn about the mother and daughter duo and see rare artifacts, original manuscripts and unpublished photos and costumes from the singers.

The exhibit opens on Aug. 10 and runs through July 14, 2019. It will follow their early lives as mother-and-child (Diana Judd and daughter Christina Ciminella) and continue through to their chart-topping success. Throughout their career, the duo have amassed 20 Top Ten hits including 14 No. 1 songs.

“The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is sacred ground, regarded with reverence and respect,” Naomi Judd says in a statement. “I am so overjoyed to have The Judds’ career encapsulated in this new exhibit. I’m so proud of all the success Wynonna has accomplished and we owe everything to the fans who welcomed The Judds music into their homes.”

The selection of artifacts featured in the museum will include a velvet jacket worn by Wynonna during the Judds’ farewell concert in December 1991, lyrics to their song “Rockin’ with the Rhythm of the Rain” handwritten by Don Schlitz, and Wynonna’s 1996 Gibson Custom Shop ES-336 electric guitar, as well as a nurse’s uniform worn by Naomi when she worked as a nurse.

Additional highlights include a note to Santa Claus, written by Naomi and her siblings as children, the Judd’s 1991 Grammy for Best Country Song for “Love Can Build a Bridge” and the silk jacket Wynonna wore to the 1991 ACM Awards, among other artifacts.

“I am truly humbled and grateful to partner with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to honor The Judds’ legacy and relive some of the special moments we shared with our fans,” Wynonna concedes. “What an honor.”
