Now, I don’t know this for a fact, but I would imagine that after winning a big award, most celebrities throw a party, hang out with their friends and maybe pop a bottle of champagne — but Thomas Rhett likes to celebrate by traveling the world.
“You know, my wife and I always celebrate by going somewhere we’ve never been,” Thomas said. “And so uh, I’m about to go play a couple shows in Europe… But after that, we’re going to go hang out in Africa for a while, so I think that’ll be our big celebration.”
Thomas also talked about his love for taking risks with his music and his surprise when people started saying “Die a Happy Man” was going to be “a career record.”
“You know, ‘Die a Happy Man’ was one of those ones that when I wrote it and I sent it to my label, then immediately the response was, ‘This is a career record,'” he explained. “I was like, ‘Why do you think that?’… I think the stars kind of aligned.”
Obviously, his label was right.
