Danielle Bradbery enlisted the help of friend, Thomas Rhett, on her latest video for “Goodbye Summer.”
The duo combine their vocals on the new single that has them singing about a summer fling, that begins and ends with the summer months.
“And it was hello summer, goodbye to my heart / Blue skies and blue eyes, a hell of a way to start / Letting him go would be the hardest part / Hello summer, goodbye to my heart / To my heart,” they sing in the chorus.

As we head into the cold weather months, the beach setting in “Goodbey Summer,” has us longing for warm weather, love and everything good that comes along with the thoughts of summer.
“It has been amazing to see the storyline of ‘Goodbye Summer’ played out,” says Danielle. “The video shares the emotions that come with a summer love. Shaun Silva had such a beautiful vision for this video and really brought it to life. It was a lot of fun to have Thomas Rhett join me for the shoot in one of my favorite places, 30A.”
The heartbreak tune, featured on her latest album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, was originally called “Hello Summer” and had Danielle singing solo. Written by TR, Rhett Akins, Julian Bunetta and Jaren Johnston, Thomas Rhett added his vocals making it a duet that we just can’t get enough of.
This isn’t the first time the duo have joined forces on a tune. TR and Danielle meshed their voices on “Playing with Fire” from Thomas Rhett’s Tangled Up album.
