In theory, Thomas Rhett probably wasn’t supposed to beat out Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley or Jason Aldean for ACM Male Vocalist of the Year. And he he probably wasn’t supposed to beat Chris Stapleton or Keith Urban either. That’s why his reaction to winning was the greatest thing– maybe ever.

As soon as his name was called, TR began shaking his head and looking at his wife.

He then mouthed, “I’m not going up there” and “are you kidding me?” before finally taking the stage.
