Soon after Tim McGraw and Faith Hill announced that they will be releasing their first ever duet album, the couple then released the video for their second single from the album, “The Rest of Our Life.”
While the song talks about a couple looking ahead and wanting to spend the rest of their lives with each other, the video—directed by Grant Singer and filmed in Tim’s hometown in Louisiana—shows Tim and Faith fighting it out, working through that fight and making up in the end.Tim and Faith are taking fans for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, that uses the serene surroundings as a third character for the feel of the couples marriage.
“The textures of everything around are us are so beautiful—juxtapose to the glamour and the glitz and the limo and the clothes like we are going to some sort of function or something,” added McGraw. “You put all of that together and you try to have a slice of real life in that world.”
“I was really struck by the natural beauty of the trees and it was evocative of the way that the song made me feel,” Singer said of the video. “It felt really kind of like a southern paradise.”
Tim and Faith’s first album of duets together, The Rest of Our Life, containing 11 tracks, including the couple’s first single “Speak to a Girl,” will be available on November 17.
