Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are country music royalty, so when the genetically blessed couple opens their home to “CBS Sunday Morning,” we listen.
The Grammy winning couple has been touring the country since April 7, when their 2017 Soul2Soul World tour kicked off in New Orleans. And while getting time together at home is a rarity, the couple decided to give us a closer look into their relationship and life on the road.
They talked about everything from turning 50 and their passionate fights to paralyzing stage fright and their lead single, “Speak to a Girl,” from their upcoming duets album. But it was when Tim started talking about all the good things in his life being brought on by music, that the “Humble and Kind” singer got all choked up.
“There are nights when you walk off the stage and you think, ‘I never want to do that again,’ Tim said. “There are those nights, it happens where you lay down and you think ‘Why am I doing this? Why am I continuing to do this?’ But look, it’s been really good to me. Music has brought me everything that’s good that’s happened in my life.”
“But it has,” he continued. “Anything that’s ever happened good in my life has come from music. It’s a treasure to me. Whether I want to do it continually, whether I want to stop doing it, any of those things. It’s my savior in a lot of ways. It brought me to a world that I would never have experienced.”
Their critically-acclaimed Soul2Soul: The World Tour will extend into 2018 with 25+ additional dates, kicking off on May 31, 2018 in Richmond, Va.
