Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Stick Together With the Free-Spirited “Telluride”

-

Faith Hill is taking the lead on “Telluride,” the latest track released from Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s upcoming album, The Rest of Our Life, due out Nov. 17.

The couple is making tracks available now for fans who pre-order their first-ever duets album. Already released from the album is the couples single “Speak to a Girl,” “Break First” and the album’s title track.

Written by Jon Randall and Jessi Alexander, the rocking upbeat “Telluride”—not to be confused with Tim’s 2001 song of the same name from his album Set This Circus Down— is about a couple traveling the world, as these two do, but having that feeling of home wherever they go, because they are together.

Pick me up in the beat up Cutlass just south of Telluride / we lit one up and never said a word until we got mountain high / He said he was bound for Texas to a dusty old ghost town / I said, ‘Well, honey what the hell let’s chase that sunset down,'” Hill sings kicking off the song.

“And we rode on, moved along / It don’t matter as long as we’re together it all feels like home / No, it don’t matter as long as we’re together it all feels like home,” the married duo sing in the chorus.

Faith has never sounded better, adding a raspiness to her vocals that brings a certain kind of conviction to the song.

The title may be a strange choice, considering Tim and Faith only reference Telluride once in the song. A better choice may have been “It All Feels Like Home,” but that’s neither here nor there.

The Rest of Our Life is set to be released Nov. 17. You can catch Tim and Faith next, when they perform on the 51st Annual CMA Awards on Nov. 8 live on ABC at 8p.m. ET.
