The video for Toby Keith‘s “Wacky Tobaccy” matches the song perfectly. It nails the tone, creativity, and thoughtfulness of the lyrics. That’s not a good thing.

If you think tour buses are glamorous, this is the video for you. If you think drummers like to play pots and pans in jam sessions, mash that play button and let that beautiful bean footage roll!

The video opens with a cheap stock CGI of bubbles and a picture of a tour bus. Smash cut to interior: a half-dozen middle aged dudes rock out on unplugged electric instruments and kitchen ware while pretending to be totally jazzed by lyrics like:

Wanda is a woman
she works down the hall
shows up on time
she’s like balls to the wall

The video features Willie Nelson playing the role of the Ghost of 420 Past, because you can’t sing about marijuana without having Willie drop by.

If you watch this GIF, you have seen the whole video.

“Wacky Tobaccy” is definitely a song and this is definitely its music video. Saying much more would be giving both too much credit.
