Trace Adkins is offering some relief to flood victims in his home state.

The country star will donate his fee from his Sept. 17 performance in Vinton, La., to the American Red Cross to assist in the $8.7 billion in damages the state was endured.

“We are so grateful to Trace Adkins for his long-standing support of the Red Cross and for stepping up again now when his home state of Louisiana is in need,” said Don Herring, chief development officer for the American Red Cross. “Funds generously donated by our partners like Mr. Adkins and the general public are essential to our ability to immediately fulfill the mission of the Red Cross when disaster strikes.”
