2:30pm CT – Oops, even we were fooled. We heard from Trace’s camp about his haircut and were told that Trace did NOT cut his hair. At closer inspection of the video, we are told that his hair is pulled up under his cap, which is the way he often wears it when he’s working around the farm.
It’s not earth shattering or breaking news, but it’s worth a mention that Trace Adkins has taken a scissor to his long luxurious locks.
Trace posted a video of himself trying to enjoy a Saturday afternoon at Home Depot. However, The Lousiana native was being followed by a video camera—being held by someone he knew obviously—that prevented him from enjoying his day. “Stop it,” he said several times as he laughed.
But what wasn’t lost on us, was that Trace did not have his signature ponytail in the video. What? Where did it go? Poof – It was gone. While the 55-year-old singer mainly wore his hair in a ponytail, covered by his big ol’ cowboy hat, it was easy for our keen eyes to spot the missing locks.
Trace was last seen with his long hair in tact while performing the national anthem and halftime show during the Tennessee Titans Monday night (Oct. 16) football game.
We first met the 6’6” singer in 1996 with the release of his debut album Dreaming Out Loud, featuring his two singles “There’s a Girl in Texas” and “Every Light in the House.” From day one, Trace had his long hair tied up in a pony tail and now, 21 years later, the hair is gone.
So we have do ask. Do you miss the long hair or like the new short cut?
