Trace Adkins Releases Holiday Classic “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” To Benefit Children

Trace Adkins takes fans into the studio as he records the holiday classic, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” The nostalgic ballad features Trace’s memorable deep voice alongside stirring piano and guitar accompaniment.

This holiday season, the country singer has partnered with the 2018 Shriners Hospitals for Children holiday campaign with a new rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” featuring background vocals by Exile. The song is available exclusively online. For more information on Shriners Hospitals for Children and to donate, visit the hospital’s website.

“It is my distinct honor to be part of Shriner’s Hospital for Children’s holiday campaign,” Trace says in a statement. “Children are truly the purest and most innocent among us and don’t deserve any of the pain they have to endure. My sincere hope is that – as a father who has been blessed with five healthy daughters – I can play a small part in helping not only the children but the families of the children as well.”

The health care system’s mission is to make the world a better place by providing hope and healing to children, according to Mel Bower, chief communications and marketing officer for Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Trace will perform throughout the holiday season at Gaylord Opryland’s dinner show: “A Trace Adkins Christmas featuring songs from The King’s Gift.” His show runs through December 25. Next year, he’ll hit the road as part of Blake Shelton’s Friends & Heroes 2019 Tour.
