Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks are getting a new family member. The couple revealed on Instagram today that they have adopted another rescue dog named Millie. Their new pet joins another dog, Emmy, at the Yearwood-Brooks home.

“Introducing Millie, our new rescue!” Trisha announced on Instagram with three photos of their latest family addition. “(Emmy’s still not quite sure what happened 🐶 🐶).”

She continued to stress the importance of pet adoption and animal rescue in her post.

“In the spirit of #GivingTuesday let’s bring awareness to the importance of #petadoption & #animalrescue. Millie was the ONLY dog adopted Saturday from #MauryCountyAnimalServices,” she wrote. “You can save a life, have a new best friend and give a homeless pet a forever home at the same time. Who knows, you might even adopt one of Millie’s siblings!”

She signs the message with the hashtag #AdoptDontShop. In the Instagram post, Millie joins Trisha for a photo at the local animal rescue shelter while another shot features the dog running in the great outdoors looking happy in its new home. A third picture has Millie sleeping comfortably in her new doggie bed beside Emmy.

When she’s not looking for the perfect dog to adopt, Trisha is putting the finishing touches on her upcoming Frank Sinatra covers album. The singer recently announced her new project, “Let’s Be Frank,” will be available exclusively at Williams-Sonoma on Dec. 20 and available everywhere in February 2019.

“I told everybody I’ve been working on new music. This is one of the music projects I’ve been working on,” Trisha said. “I’ll tell you what I can tell you. We were in LA, we were at Capitol Records. I got to sing with a 55 piece orchestra live, thank you guys and girls for playing on my record.”
