While some celebrities are open books on social media, sharing almost every aspect of their personal lives with followers, friends and fans, others prefer to leave their private lives private. Tucker Beathard often shares music and occasionally shares images of family and friends enjoying favorite pastimes together on his socials. So, when he posted an image of himself with a baby girl and said that the toddler named Sage was his daughter, it came as a bit of a surprise.

Tucker shared several pictures of the pig-tailed cutie and explained, “In November of 2017, I was 22 years old, couldn’t have been more stressed and overwhelmed trying to get out of a record deal, and trying to figure out my personal life and my career. Nothing made sense. Then, right when I thought things couldn’t get more overwhelming or more stressful, I got a call saying that I was going to be having a kid all the way out in Seattle, Washington.”

The rising young artist admits that he was scared, and then he reached a breaking point. “(I) didn’t know what else to do other than finally surrender to Jesus Christ and ask him to meet me where I was and to take over my life… and that’s exactly what he did,” he writes.

Tucker says that the experienced didn’t change him, but changed the way he thought about the impending birth of his daughter. “He took what I thought was the last thing I needed in my life and, instead, on 7/13/18, gave me the greatest blessing I could possibly ask for by bringing this little girl into my life.”

The singer, whose father is hit songwriter Casey Beathard, references Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (NIV) and adds that he hopes the now two-year-old doesn’t “raise as much hell as I did growing up.”

The news comes the same day that country fans learned that Morgan Wallen became a father.

It’s been a tumultuous several months for the Beathard family. Tucker’s brother, Clay, was stabbed to death outside a Nashville bar a few days before Christmas.

I don’t usually like posting a lot of real personal life things…but I wanna share this part of my life and testimony that most ppl probly don’t know … In November of 2017 I was 22 years old, couldn’t have been more stressed and overwhelmed trying to get out of a record deal, and trying to figure out my personal life and my career. Nothin made sense. Then, right when I thought things couldn’t get more overwhelming or more stressful I got a call saying that I was going to be having a kid all the way out in Seattle Washington. To say I was scared is an understatement. It seemed like everything was kinda falling apart around me….I hit my breaking point and didn’t know what else to do other than finally surrender to Jesus Christ and ask him to meet me where I was and to take over my life… and that’s exactly what he did. He grew me in ways I could’ve never imagined. He took all the messes I felt I was drowning in and did exactly what Romans 8:28 says he does. And more than anything, he took what I thought was “the last thing I needed in my life” and instead, on 7/13/18, gave me the greatest blessing I could possibly ask for by bringing this little girl into my life. Happy 2nd Birthday to my beautiful daughter Sage… now I just pray she doesn’t raise as much hell I as I did growing up.
