Tyler Farr released his new single “Love By the Moon” earlier this year and the sweet love song reflects on his relationship with his wife, Hannah. Fittingly, the music video for the song stars his new bride on their farm in Tennessee.
Directed by Sean Dave and shot on traditional film, “Love By the Moon” follows Tyler around during a typical day spent on his farm. With a morning stop at the store, he and his wife eventually find themselves relaxing by the lake after taking care of all the animals on the farm and a long walk with their dog.
“Live by the sun, love by the moon / Pick up your girl when the work is through / Light up the night till the sky turns blue / Live by the sun, love by the moon,” he sings on the infectious chorus.
“Me and my wife Hannah have been married for a year and a half now, and this song is for her,” Tyler said in a statement upon the song’s release. “We live in the country and enjoy our lives together on the farm. We laugh, work and play hard. This song is us! Being a country music artist, I’m away from home a lot. So, when I do get time at home, I make those days count and don’t take one for granted. We live by the sun and love by the moon.”
“Love By the Moon” was written by Ross Ellis Lipsey, James McNair and Chris Stevens. The song was produced by Sugarland’s Kristian Bush. It follows the release of several previous chart-topping hits from Tyler, including “A Guy Walks into a Bar,” “Redneck Crazy” and “Whiskey in my Water.”
Tyler wed his longtime girlfriend Hannah in October of 2016 on a farm outside of Tennessee. The couple’s wedding was “simple and intimate” and ahead of the big day, Tyler’s father and groomsmen spent the morning fishing at a lake nearby, according to People.
