Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson are coming to a theater near you. The two “The Voice” coaches were announced as voices on the upcoming Uglydolls movie and now the trailer is available for your viewing pleasure.
In the film, Kelly’s character Moxy and her UglyDolls friends confront what it means to be different, struggle with their desire to be loved, and ultimately discover that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing because who you truly are is what matters most.
According to the production company, the story goes like this: In the adorably different town of Uglyville, weird is celebrated, strange is special and beauty is embraced as more than simply meets the eye. Here, the free-spirited Moxy and her UglyDolls friends live every day in a whirlwind of bliss, letting their freak flags fly in a celebration of life and its endless possibilities, occasionally looking to the sky, where a new UglyDoll will appear and be embraced by the community.
The cast includes Kelly, Blake, Joe Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Pitbull, Wanda Sykes, Emma Roberts, Gabriel Iglesias, Wang Leehom, Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX and Lizzo.
Blake took to social media to share the brand new trailer.
“It can’t get better than this! Did you catch the world premiere of the #UglyDollsMovie trailer?! Here it is!” his team wrote with the clip.
“UglyDolls” hits theaters May 10.
