It’s no secret that country music legend Vince Gill is over the moon about getting to play with the Eagles. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Vince Gill seemed borderline giddy to be able to live out his rock and roll fantasies with his friends at an upcoming Eagles performance at Dodger Stadium.
In the interview, Gill talked about how he was close with the late Glenn Frey, and later became close with Don Henley working on one of his solo records. But, even though he’s only singing a few songs in the set (“Lyin’ Eyes,” “New Kid In Town,” Heartache Tonight,” and “Take It To The Limit,”), he made it very clear how much he’d like to play more.
When asked if he would be willing to tour with the Eagles, Gill responded:
Are you kidding me? I’d be the first one on the bus. They probably don’t take a bus, but I’ll drive myself. I’ll take my own car. You couldn’t dream this up to get to go play in your favorite band – the most important American band in history.
You heard it, folks. Vince Gill is ready to drive his own car across the country to play rock with his friends. Who wouldn’t?
