Walker Hayes’ “Craig” Will Make You Think About Church, Jesus and What It Means to Love Both

Faith is a tricky thing. It’s yours and yours only. And sometimes, the things that are supposed to help you make sense of your faith and what you believe make things even more confusing.

Walker Hayes understands that.

If don’t know
Hayes’ story, it’s not a simple one. He had a record deal, lost it, started working at Costco to support his family, kept making music and now, he’s released his debut album, boom.

The album features the tune, “Craig” that is an intricate look at one’s faith, pride and what happens when you meet someone who get its.

Craig gave Hayes’ family a van once and in return, he wrote this song about him.

Definitely not your typical country music song about Jesus, but it’ll get you thinking.

boom is out now.
