Walker Hayes Remembers Late Daughter with Name Tattoo

After suffering an unimaginable loss when his seventh child, Oakleigh Klover, passed away shortly after birth, Walker Hayes has found a way to keep her memory with him.

The “You Broke Up With Me” singer tattooed his little girls name and footprint on his forearm, keeping her close to his heart forever. Walker shared an image of the tattoo on Instagram, thanking the artist, who did the work.

“Thank you @zanependergast_tattoo for this. It is perfect,” he wrote.

Walker and his wife Laney have six children, three boys and three girls, and were expecting their seventh child in early June. Shortly after birth, their fourth daughter, Oakleigh Klover, passed away. The singer released a statement letting fans know of his tragic loss. 

“It is with great sadness that Laney and I share with you the news that our sweet Oakleigh
Klover Hayes was born this morning at the hospital and now is safely in heaven. Thank you for
honoring our privacy as we grieve,” Walker wrote. 

The 38-year-old dad cancelled his immediate shows following the tragedy to be with his family. He recently announced on Twitter that he will be returning to the road. 

“Walker Hayes will resume his touring schedule beginning June 27, 2018. All announced dates are confirmed.”
