Zac Brown’s Sir Rosevelt Releases “It Goes On” For War Film “12 Strong”


As if Zac Brown didn’t have enough to do as the frontman of the Zac Brown Band, the lead singer is releasing a new single from is alter-ego band, Sir Rosevelt.

Zac joined forces with songwriter Niko Moon and producer Ben Simonetti to create the three man pop group. The southern pop sounding trio released a self-titled album on Dec. 15, which features their single “Something ‘Bout You,” co-produced by Timbaland. The album contains 11 songs, two of which were co-written by Pharell Williams, and offer a mix of pop, dance and acoustics sounds.

Sir Rosevelt is involved in the sound track business with their latest song, “It Goes On.” The new track will be featured in the new war drama, 12 Strong“—a story of heroism based on true events that unfolded in the aftermath of 9/11. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon and Michael Peña.

“It goes on and on / bound to forever / even when we’re gone / it goes on and on / we’ll be together at the rising of the dawn / it goes on,” Zac sings in the chorus.

“12 Strong” is set to hit theaters on Jan. 19.
