Zac Brown Band Electrifies The Stage In Their ‘Austin City Limits’ Debut

-

In my humble opinion, the Zac Brown Band is better live than in studio. That’s really saying something, because their studio work has netted them sixteen charted singles, thirteen No. 1 hits, two platinum and one certified triple-platinum albums, and three GRAMMY awards. “Austin City Limits” is perhaps the greatest public access show of all time, the hub of live music on TV touting some of the biggest names in show business. So when the Zac Brown Band took the stage, we all knew it was going to be something incredible.

The reason I think they are better live than in studio is because the stage gives the music room to breathe. They can play with it rather than just regurgitating the same sound we know on the radio.

Their cover of John Prine’s “All The Best” is a crowd favorite and gets new life with their minimal live performance.

They even threw it back with “Day of the Dead” from their 2013 album, “The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1”. If you don’t like this, you probably need to find a new genre of music to follow.

You can watch the whole performance on PBS October 21.
