What happens when your favorite novel meets your favorite music? Yep. Believe it, because it just happened.

Nicholas Sparks, the author behind the tear-jerker “The Notebook” and “A Walk to Remember” has done it again with the movie adaptation of his novel “The Best of Me.”

This time, he tapped country stars Lady Antebellum, Thomas Rhett, Thompson Square, Kacey Musgraves and even pop star Colbie Caillat to write for the soundtrack.

At a red carpet screening at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Sparks said he wanted Lady A from the get-go because he is the biggest fan of their music. (You love him even more now, don’t you?)  The story focuses on a first love that gets a second chance.

Charles, Hillary and Dave all said they signed on immediately to be a part of this film soundtrack. Hillary said “The Notebook” is her favorite movie and Charles even admitted he may have shed a tear watching the advance screening of “The Best of Me.” That Nicolas Sparks! He makes us all cry in the best way possible.

The soundtrack is available on iTunes now, the movie hits theaters nationwide on October 17.
