It is easy to forget that celebrities are normal folks, even the biggest names in Hollywood. We would all go dumb and mute if we were to meet someone like Chris Hemsworth, but even he is not above getting star-struck. In fact, Thor revealed to ELLE that he got tongue-tied around a few of his Marvel co-stars while filming “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”
The first person who made the actor trip over his words was the elegant Cate Blanchett, who stars as Hela, the goddess of death in “Thor: Ragnarok.” She is, according to Hemsworth, completely disarming, which, yeah dude, I completely understand.
“She calls you on your s–t straightaway, which is intimidating,” Hemsworth laughed. “You walk in and you’re doing all the usual polite chats, and she’s like, ‘Chris, what are you doing? Really, that’s the story you’re gonna tell?’ And you’re like, ‘S–t, I’m not going to get away with anything with this lady. I have to drop the façade.”
Cate Blanchett: a straight shooter.
But the person who really left Hemsworth star-struck was Chris Pratt. “The first time I really met Chris Pratt—and went on set with him and the Guardians—I was weirdly shaken,” he said. “I don’t know why. He’s just so charismatic. And good at what he does.”
The lesson I take from all of this is be direct, good at what you do, and kind to other people– you know, just be normal. If you do that, even Marvel superheroes will be impressed with you.
