Every now and then you come across anomalies. Things that just don’t seem to match up, but works– like country music and rap. It very much works and Colt Ford is proof of that.

Ford has charted six times on the Hot Country Songs charts, and co-wrote (with Brantley Gilbert) “Dirt Road Anthem,” a song on his 2008 album Ride Through the Country, which Jason Aldean later covered on his album, My Kinda Party.

And how you can not like a guy that raps with an acoustic guitar as his backing and wears boots? Boots he designed! Hick-hop and Colt Ford are here to stay.

Our 4 favorite Colt Ford videos:

“Chicken and Biscuits”

“Dirty Side”

“Thanks for Listening”

“Waste Some Time”

Ford’s fifth studio album, Thanks for Listening, features duets with the biggest names in country music, including Keith Urban, Lee Brice, Justin MooreJerrod Neiman, and even Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame.
