Not too long ago, David Crosby appeared on the “Ellen Show” with his 4-year-old daughter, Claire. The duo was singing Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend In Me.” The Crosbys were invited on the show after their original video racked up 16 million views on YouTube.

Was Crosby’s viral fame enough to get a chair turn on “The Voice“? Well, yes, of course. This is still America.

Adam Levine immediately turned around upon hearing Death Cab for Cutie’s “I’ll Follow You into the Dark.” Blake Shelton and Miley Cyrus eventually turned too. That’s when it got a little too real.

Levine said he recognized Crosby, asked if Claire was around and the daddy-daughter duo sang a verse from the song that them famous and made Newman a lot of money. Shelton swears he sent the link to Levine, Cyrus says she knows what it’s like to be in Claire’s place and Levine has a daughter of his own.

Crosby went with Levine. I don’t see him making it too far without help from Claire though.
