During his most recent visit to “The Ellen Show,” pop icon Adam Levine revealed a little secret about his daughter’s unique name.

Apparently, while wife Behati Prinsloo was pregnant and she and Adam were trying to brainstorm baby names, they enlisted Ellen DeGeneres for a little creative influence — and Ellen ended up literally naming their child.

Casual, right?

The exchange occurred over text message when Ellen disapproved of Adam’s first name choice and, well, the rest is history.

“So, I think I have a great name and I texted Ellen and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ and she was like, ‘I hate it, I think it’s a terrible name,'” Adam explained. “Then she’s like, ‘Look,’ she gives me like five names to think about. She’s like this, this, this, this, Dusty was in there. So, you basically named my kid.”

To that, Ellen replied, “I did name your kid… Then, someone said Dusty Rose and I was said, ‘Oh, that’s her name.'”

So, as if having Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo as parents wasn’t enough, now Dusty Rose Levine can go around telling people she was named by the world-renowned Ellen DeGeneres. Lucky girl.
