Chip and Joanna Gaines met Ken and Kelly Downs during season 3, episode 12 of their hit show, “Fixer Upper” on HGTV. The design-savvy pair renovated a home dubbed “The Three Little Pigs” in Waco, Texas and now, it needs a whole new renovation.

The home in north Waco was damaged when a drunk driver broke through an exterior wall and a parallel interior wall of a front room office. When police arrived onto the scene they found a Hyundai Accent inside the home.

According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, the porch was left unharmed, indicating the driver went over the porch, “The yard is built up several feet, and he hit the embankment of the yard, apparently went airborne, and like a lot of older homes, this house was built up off the ground, so he cleared the rest of the yard. He didn’t hurt the hedges, but he took out the railing on the porch and went right into the window of the front room and hit an interior wall that might be a load-bearing wall.”

During the “Fixer Upper” episode featuring the home, Joanna moved a fireplace to the office and that’s likely what stopped the car from plowing further inside.

A witness that arrived on the scene before officials told the Tribune-Herald that the driver tried to back up out of the house, “He was still in the car, the cops or the fire department weren’t there yet and he kept starting the car, stopping the car, starting the car, stopping the car. He was trying to back up, but he was kind of realizing what he did, so he was kind of out of it.” Eventually, the man exited the car.
