Every parent, whether they can explain it or not, has some rules for naming their child. Some want to use family names or a name from the Bible, others something completely unique, and a rare few whatever name is popular at the time. Jessica Alba has some very specific rules that fall into the unique-but-not-too-weird category. She asked Jimmy Fallon to help her brainstorm a name and, well, it did no go well.
Alba’s recently announced that she is pregnant with some help from her daughters Honor and Haven.
She has three very specific rules for naming her children:
- The name must start with an “H,”
- The name must be two syllables
- The name has to be a word.
Any mashup of letters is a word. “Pfluggetrontron” is a word that I just made up. But I think Alba wants an English non-name real word. It’s less fun, but her child.
When she asked Jimmy to help, he seemed a little lost. The first name he suggested was “Kermit.” It got weirder from there. The lesson is to always let a Mom figure out names on her own.
