Earlier this year, Jimmy Kimmel shared with “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” viewers that his son, William “Billy” Kimmel was born with tetralogy of fallot and pulmonary atresia, which means that there was a hole in his heart wall and the pulmonary valve was blocked. The newborn underwent successful heart surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and before taking off for his paternity leave, Kimmel thanked each and every doctor, nurse, janitor and beyond who cared for his son in the hospital.
Of course, his thoughts on healthcare were met with fiery comments, but ultimately, Kimmel just wanted to make it clear that his son was fortunate to be born with parents who could afford to meet all of his needs.
Now, Kimmel wants everyone to know that little Billy is doing great, sharing an adorable photo and saying, “Billy is 3 months old & doing great. Thx for the love & support. Please remind your Congresspeople that every kid deserves the care he got.”
