Parenting a toddler is difficult. It’s like trying to wrangle a drunk college student that is unable to care for itself but also wants to destroy everything. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are in the midst of this chaos with their son, Silas. For them, it may not be the terrible two’s, but the fact that little Silas has just picked up all of his father’s bad qualities.
When Jessica visited “The Late Show whit Stephen Colbert” a few months ago, she hilariously commented on her son’s messiness. I mean, yeah, he’s two.
“Every square inch,” she said. “And if it’s not the hopeful chocolate, it’s stickers, and Play-Doh, and gak, and crumbs and who knows.”
Toddler parents know this too well. THEY KNOW! But Justin thought she was too hard on the toddler.
“I saw her interview on the show and I said, ‘Honey, I think you went a little hard on Silas. He’s not even three yet.'”
“Does he get the messy gene from you?” Colbert asked.
I think that’s a yes. I can just imagine Jessica back home screaming “YES!” at the TV. Celebrity marriages: they’re just like ours, except they have to be funny for the world while worrying about how to explain what they said when they get home.
Timberlake quickly changed the subject to how he got his start in singing at church, which led to a rendition of the National Anthem that “blew [his] mind.”
