Kelly Clarkson Covered Prince’s “Kiss” and We Need a Minute to Recover

Not since Julia Roberts sang “Kiss” in the bathtub during “Pretty Woman” has someone covered the Prince hit as well as Kelly Clarkson just did for Spotify.

“Kiss” was the lead single from Prince’s eighth studio, Parade, in 1986 and was No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 for 2 weeks that year. It also won Prince a GRAMMY, which leads us to believe Kelly could get herself a trophy or two from this performance, too. Is that possible? We need it to be possible.

Kelly has covered Prince before, but you can almost hear the stank in the studio version, right? But, “Purple Rain” is good too.
