Last Man Standing may not be done after all.
Variety reports that 20th Century Fox Television — which produces the show — is seeking a new home for the Tim Allen comedy.
The move comes days after ABC’s decision to cancel the show which was in its sixth season.
“That’s the one that’s really an open sore right now,” said studio president Jonnie Davis said.
Studio Howard Kurtzman added, “We really were expecting a pickup. The fact that we didn’t get a pickup was a surprise and a disappointment. I think no one was more disappointed than Tim Allen, such a huge star with such a huge following.”
The show, which was the second most watched comedy last season, behind Modern Family is looking for a new home.
“We’re starting to explore that,” Kurtzman told the publication. “If it’s not going to go forward at ABC, of course Jonnie and I are hopeful that we can find another home for it.”
