I’ve got great news for fans of Lauren Alaina (and for people who love a good old fashioned romantic comedy).
The feature-length film, named after her hit single, features Lauren Alaina as a songwriter named Charlotte, who is struggling to balance her career on top of trying to plan out her “dream of a perfect wedding.” In the movie, Lauren Alaina’s character goes back to her childhood hometown of Harmony, Tennessee to face her past and is forced to “reconsider her future” after she inevitably runs into her first love, Ray, played by Donny Boaz of “NCIS.”
The movie summary reads, “Country music singer Charlotte comes back home to Tennessee a week before she’s set to get married, hoping to borrow her late mother’s wedding dress from her grandmother. But when she runs into her high school sweetheart, Ray, sparks begin to fly. As emotions with Ray get complicated and her record label continues to pressure her to write a new hit song, Charlotte questions if she ever should have left Tennessee in the first place and if she’s even marrying the right man.”
Sounds like a winner!
Her on-screen fiancé is played by Jason Burkey from “The Walking Dead,” and the film showcase a lot of songs from Lauren Alaina, including “Doin’ Fine,” “Queen of Hearts,” “Painting Pillows,” “My Kinda People,” and “Holding The Other.”
The movie will air on CMT on November 10, and we can’t wait to watch!
