In 2007 Mandy Moore Covered Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and It’s Pretty Unbelievable

In 2007, you couldn’t walk into a gas station, your grandmother’s house or turn on the radio without hearing Rihanna’s “Umbrella.” Rihanna took home a GRAMMY for the tune and it was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Just a few months after it took over the airwaves, Mandy Moore covered the tune for Yahoo! The production value is a little mall karaoke video booth-ish, but Moore’s vocals are spot-on.

What if Jay-Z intro’d Moore’s version the way he did the original? Too good.
