There’s a reason Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is the highest-selling Holiday single of all-time and the 11th best-selling single of all-time– it’s infectious, fun cheerful. It’s not like other Christmas carols, it’s a cool carol. In a career full of hits, the song is actually Carey’s most successful tune.

In 2012, during one of his first attempts at singing a hit with classroom instruments Jimmy Fallon had Carey on “The Tonight Show” to sing the holiday classic with The Roots and it was an absolute masterpiece.

Fallon let Carey make a diva entrance and had small children random appear for help on the harmony.
