Netflix has just announced a price hike for their service. Again. Every plan above their Basic plan ($7.99) will increase by a few dollars. The Standard tier will increase from $9.99 to $10.99 and Premium plans will increase two dollars to $13.99. They will give all subscribers a 30 day notice before increasing their price.
We will all be upset about it for a while, but I sincerely doubt very many people will change their plans. I think Netflix knows that. The hike is not completely unexpected; the streaming service is in $4.84 billion of long term debt. That’s not how they are framing it, however.
