You might’ve already heard through the rumor mill that Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are going to appear in a TV show together. Good news: It’s true.
According to CNN, Apple has ordered two seasons of a drama about the “world of network morning television,” and it will star Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston as our two leading ladies. Oh, and they’re both executive producers of the show, too, alongside “House of Cards” producer Jay Carson.
The show apparently got a straight-to-series order, which means the network made a commitment before a pilot was even produced. I mean, would you question the greatness that is Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon together? I think not. We’ve obviously seen Reese on “Big Little Lies,” but this series would mark Jennifer Aniston’s first regular TV appearance since “Friends” ended in 2004, and boy have we missed her! And let us not forget that Reese Witherspoon actually appeared on “Friends” as Rachel’s spoiled sister, Jill.
Apple has agreed to two seasons of 10 episodes each for the series, and they beat out Netflix and Showtime who were OBVIOUSLY itching to get the show on their own networks, because let’s face it– it’s bound to be a hit!
No word on when the series will be available, but we’ll be not-so-patiently waiting to hear more!
