Reese Witherspoon Explaining Southern Slang is Exactly What You Need to See Today

Southern slang is truly an art– and Reese Witherspoon knows it.

She recently appeared on Vanity Fair’s “Secret Talent Theatre” to teach everyone some southern slang (with no mention of her third leg on the cover of their magazine), and it’s honestly one of the best videos of Reese Witherspoon I’ve ever seen.

She explained some basic phrases like “Bless your heart,” and “dern tootin'” plus some more complex phrases like “hot chicken” and “hoecake.” Overall, it really showed off those Louisiana roots.

She also explained one of my favorite words of all time: Conniption:

“It’s when you absolutely lose your shit. Having a conniption– I have one at least once a week,” she said.
