After months of waiting, rumors and vague statements, ABC has officially set the date for the return of “Roseanne.” With the majority of the cast returning, the series promises to harken back to an era of TV long past. The series will focus on an honest family, something executive producer Bruce Helford doesn’t think we see on TV anymore.
“Roseanne” will return March 27, 2018.
The series will see the return of Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Lecy Goranson (First Becky), Sarah Chalke (Second Becky), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Michael Fishman (D.J.), Estelle Parsons (Beverly), Sandra Bernhard (Nancy), and Johnny Galecki (David).
“We want everybody to see something that doesn’t really exist on TV anymore — an honest family,” Helford told Entertainment Weekly. “These people are very much the core of what’s going on in the country right now.”
Roseanne has said that the show will be very honest and will not shy away from politics.
