We all know that fried chicken is best in the south but loved all over the world. You’re welcome. We know there are some places that you would not want to get fried chicken, like Alaska. But our British friends don’t know that. In the UK, you can find chicken restaurants named after just about every state: Michigan Fried Chicken, Ohio Fried Chicken, Kansas Fried Chicken, etc. But what would that actually be?

Here’s a map of UK chicken shops that are called “[US State] Fried Chicken”

Twitter user @GwilymLockwood made the map after seeing six different US State Chicken places in one town. It excludes Kentucky for obvious reasons.

Montana Fried Chicken

Made in isolation and seasoned with crippling loneliness. This chicken will tell you all about it’s doomsday bunker before you eat it.

Alaska Fried Chicken

It’s not actually chicken. AFC is old bear meat smoked by bush people last winter and seasoned with Sarah Palin’s signature wacky sauce.

Kansas Fried Chicken

Spoiler Alert: It’s just corn.

California Fried Chicken

A paleo, gluten free soy loaf floating in broth too busy taking a selfie to be eaten.

Tennessee Fried Chicken

Smothered in hot sauce and called good. Oh, wait…

Michigan Fried Chicken

Beer battered chicken built Ford tough but cold and wet always for no real reason.

Arizona Fried Chicken

Scorching hot (but it’s a dry heat) and covered in actual sand. Meth optional on the side.

All I’m saying is if you see this guy there, you’re in trouble.
